Snack time is an important time for our students each day. We utilize the opportunity to discuss healthy eating, table manners, and our monthly curriculum. We always start off our snack with our bible verse of the month and table blessing.
Each week we ask a different student to supply snack for the class. Please refer to the snack schedule, located both online and on the monthly calendar, for your child’s designated week. Here are a few things to keep in mind when planning snack.
We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, please do not send items that contains nuts or nut butter. All snacks must be manufactured in a nut-free facility.
We drink water with our snack each day. Please send in 5oz cups and napkins.
Please provide enough snack for 12 children.
Please make sure your snacks are washed and ready to eat, as our schedule may not permit time to prepare it.
We ask that snacks are healthy and fresh over processed and sugary, to keep our little ones energized and ready to learn! Some good examples are: sliced apples, crackers, applesauce, veggies and hummus, tortilla chips and salsa, bananas, cheerios, fruit, pretzels, etc. If you need any ideas, I’ll be sending home a list of suggestions.
If you have any other questions or concerns about snack time, please feel free to reach out, I’m happy to clear anything up!
Thank you in advance!
